This'll give you a feel for what you're getting in to and know my expertise-you know, get a feel for how I describe things, develop some tone.
Joice is my hot teammate on this blog and we've been BFF for about 11yrs now, but let me provide some premise to our meeting.
I was born in '82, Langhorne, PA and my parents and I lived in South Jersey, moving to sweet Hammonton, NJ in '83. I lived there for 16 years with a lot of Italian kids, grew up orthodox Catholic, did some extra curricular activities (chorus, theater, guard, track & field) and for the most part, a dork. The summer before my 16th birthday (1998), we moved to the big city of Richmond, VA- I'm still here.
The first day of my junior year of highschool - Godwin High School - I felt that impending dread and knew I would not be making any friends for a long time. I didn't join any clubs or joined in any activities. I was freakin' traumatized.
Long story short (because I, myself, am getting bored with reading this already) - Joice and I met through this fab Pakistani girl, Nermine. They were both a year ahead of me and Nermine asked me if I liked Anime, Japanese things, cats, etc. and proceeded to drop the J-bomb with: "You need to meet my friend Joice, she's so into all of that, she's really cool, you'd like her..".
Anywho- Joice and I totally bonded: hung out during my study-hall hours with this nutzy-freakin' annoying art teacher, celebrated her 18th birthday with strawberry shortcake and traded manga with me. She gave me rides home afterschool in her majestic, white with red velvetty interior Corsica and we've been perfect BFs since.
Here's a nice vignette about her that she'll probably kick me about, but will definitely enjoy (and it's not the double-foot locker kick incident) -
"When Joice thought she was blind"
One time joice woke up and thought she was blind, she said:
"Wow.. everything is white, is this what being blind is like? Maybe I should try to figure my way around the house and try to live this new life.. maybe I'll have to go to a new school or move in with other blind people.. I hope I'll still be able to find someone who'll love me."
And suddenly, with her new realizations and hopes, she tried to turn and sit up, she hit her face on the wall-
During the night she cuddled too close to the bedside wall, so when she opened her eyes the next day, she was face-t0-face with the white wall.. That's all.
*Womp, womp, wommmmmmp*
Gotta love that Doice! xx I totally blogged about you, you're gonna hate it.

Wow... I can't believe you still remember that... those were some good ol' times. Well, in terms of funny stories though, I recall you making your sister have milk come out of her nose by making her laugh so hard. Or being really scared of your dad after you accidentally punch broke one of the legs of your bed after a fit. ;-)
